I worked as the play designer on the third version of Toca Bocas popular hair salon app. This third version was planned to follow the same structure as the second but with big improvements to the way the hair felt. There was also a big focus on adding more hair types so as many people as possible could find a hair type they were familiar with.

I was responsible for creating and maintaining the game design document for this project. I worked closely with the developers and artists to make sure we were all working towards the same vision.

One of may favourite design decisions for this project was the randomised nature of the character select screen. Every time you visit this scene the characters hair, clothing and accessories are randomised so it feels like new customers are visiting the salon each time you visit this scene.
