Knight Brawl
Knight brawl was made in collaboration with one artist. I was the programmer, game designer, level designer and publisher of this project. It took around 5 months full-time to complete.
Knight Brawl is a chaotic, wacky physics melee fighting game with multiple game modes. My plan for this game was to create a project that was easy to add content too in an attempt to build a loyal fan base and community. I was successful to an extent, the game was easy to add content too and I was able to do multiple content updates in the weeks after release. Using discord I was able to create an active community of fans who chatting with each other about tricks, techniques and hidden weapon locations.
Unfortunately due to low download numbers the community wasn't large enough to justify dedicating all my dev time too updates for this game.
One of my favourite game modes in this game is the 'Getting Over It' inspired game mode called Tower Climb. Players must user their weapon to climb a frustratingly difficult tower. This game mode was very popular in the community and some of the speed run routes that people found were truly spectacular.
